Konan Railway Ōwani Line
This special train on the Apple Orchard Railway (the Ōwani Line) is decorated with around 350 kingyo-neputa (goldfish-shaped neputa lanterns), an essential symbol of summer festivals in the Tsugaru region. On weekend and holiday evenings, as well as during the Hirosaki Neputa Festival period, the train runs using only the warm, traditional glow of the neputa lanterns, creating a magical, dreamlike atmosphere.
Season: Every year from July to August (tentative)
