The TOHOKU EMOTION is a unique gourmet train that runs along the breathtaking Sanriku coastline, offering an unforgettable dining experience while enjoying the majestic natural scenery of the Hachinohe Line. The train itself transforms into a restaurant, serving original dishes made with fresh local ingredients from the Tohoku region, all while providing stunning views of the famous Tanesashi Coast through the windows.

Running between Hachinohe and Kuji, the train passes through a region rich in natural beauty, from the fertile sea and mountain landscapes to the world-renowned Hirahira Highlands with Japan’s largest birch forest. Other highlights include Kabushima Island, a breeding ground for umi-neko (Japanese black-tailed gulls), and the picturesque natural grasslands of Tanesashi Coast.
