Observation Deck “Kita no Moribito Ōminato – Kaibōkan

From this observation deck, located 55 meters above sea level, visitors can enjoy sweeping views of Mutsu Bay below, the naturally sculpted beauty of Ashizaki (a sand spit), and vessels of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. On clear days, the panorama extends from the Hakkōda Mountains all the way to Cape Shiriya.

The facility is equipped with Wi-Fi and elevators for easy access. In the evening, the deck is illuminated with special lighting and seasonal displays, so a nighttime visit is highly recommended.
