Towada Barayaki is a beef dish with sliced onions grilled on a hot plate with sweet & spicy soy sauce. It is said to have started at a stall in front of the Misawa US military base after the war. Then it came to Misawa and has become the soul food of locals. Now there are over 80 restaurants that serve Towada Barayaki within the city. And each store has its taste.
