Superb view of mountain streams and crystal clear hot springs.About 10 km from the Ōhata River, there is a mountain stream covered with broad-leaved trees such as Japanese beech and maples. In summer, the Yakken mountain stream is covered with refreshing greenery, and in autumn it is colorful. The promenade continues along the river. Yagen Valley, or Yagen Onsen in Japanese, is located next to the Ōhata River alongside a walking trail. Yagen is also a place where hot spring originates. It is said that the mouth from which the hot water springs, was shaped as a grinding tool(Yagen in Japanese) to turn the medicine ingredients into powder. Hence it got the name Yagen.
