Shiriyazaki Cape is located on the easternmost point of the Shimokita Peninsula. Here stands a Shiriyazaki Lighthouse, which boasts one of the brightest lighthouses in Japan. The squid fishing fire in summer and fall is very beautiful. Here used to be a ranch of the Morioka Domain(Nanbu clan). Kandachime Horse that endures the severe winter of the Shimokita Peninsula still lives here.
