Sukayu Onsen is a mountain hot spring made with Hiba wood (Japanese cypress) that has been accessible for over 300 years and is known for its "Sen-nin-buro" or "1,000-person bath", a large gender-mixed public bath. There are five bathtubs in the 160 tatami-sized (248㎡) bathroom, including hot, cold, quarter-sixth mixed, and hot waterfalls, waiting to soothe traveler’s fatigue after exploration.
