As the information center of Aomori, ASPAM is a 15-story, 76-meter-high equilateral triangle building. The shape of it resembles the letter ""A"", symbolizing the first letter of Aomori City as well as Aomori Prefecture.It is a multi-use structure containing souvenir and craft shops offering Aomori's local food and signature products. The building also features a restaurant floor, an observatory on the 13th floor, a panorama film room, as well as a tourist information office.
