As a well-known national cultural relic, the Seibien is a typical example of the construction of Oishi Butsuryu Genre (one of the garden-building genres in Japan) in Tsugaru. Inside the garden, there is a Seibikan of which the ground floor is purely Japanese style, while the first floor is of western style. This museum represents the characteristics of the Rokumeikan period (1883-1887) and is a rare example of the perfect combination of Japanese and western styles. The beauty of the museum itself is deeply integrated into the entire garden, giving us a glimpse of the Meiji culture.
