JR Ōminato Line

The Ōminato Line runs from Noheji Station to Ōminato Station in Mutsu City, traversing the Mutsu Bay side of the Shimokita Peninsula. Nicknamed the “Hamanasu Bay Line Ōminato Line,” it marked the 100th anniversary of its full opening in 2021.

One of the highlights is the stretch between Arito Station and Fukikoshi Station, where breathtaking views of Mutsu Bay unfold right before your eyes. Shimokita Station, located one stop before the terminus at Ōminato, is the northernmost railway station on Honshu.
